Our Mission

The Greater New Orleans First Responders Fund is an intermediary of public agencies and private or nonprofit sector resources for the purpose of providing tangible benefits that will aid the recruiting and retention efforts of local departments while contributing to the betterment of first responders in the Greater New Orleans region.

Our Goals

To provide services and benefits to first responders of the Greater New Orleans region that will aid the recruiting and retention efforts of local departments
To facilitate public, private, and nonprofit resources in ways that will sustain the services and benefits we provide to first responders
To become a recognized organization that works for the betterment of first responders by addressing their needs and providing tangible benefits that will compliment the efforts of similar organizations
To demonstrate how private and public partnerships can successfully provide services that will strengthen our communities
To create a new fundraising event, the Krewe of Boo, that will support our endeavors while creating a positive economic impact for the city of New Orleans

Our Objectives

To effectively develop a comprehensive housing program that will adequately serve as a recruiting tool for new first responders and a retention mechanism for our experienced officers
To successfully plan and execute fundraising events including the Krewe of Boo and the Cultural Experience
To maintain good relations with NOPD, NOFD, NOEMS by meeting with their staff regularly and staying informed of their eminent need
To adequately market and promote all programs and fundraisers to maximize participation
